Curbside roll cart collection is provided to residential and small commercial locations. City of Columbia ordinance requires that roll carts be removed from the curb no later than 7:30 p.m. on the day of collection.

Roll carts are serviced weekly and are to be used for household garbage only. Yard trimmings and bulk items are collected separately and should not be in the roll cart. Solid Waste only collects waste from containers that are furnished by the City. Solid Waste does NOT collect from personal containers.

The Solid Waste Division operates on a hybrid fleet and uses both automated and semi-automated trucks. With this collection system, carts should be 3 ft. from trees, mailboxes, vehicles and the recycling cart for quick and efficient service.
