In April of 2003, the City implemented a residential street sweeping program.

Street Sweepers maintain the City of Columbia’s main thoroughfares and assist in clean up efforts after roadwork and special events. Blowers and sidewalk sweepers are used to remove debris from the downtown and Five Points areas.
